We are proud to celebrate Jackie Masters, one of our dedicated volunteers, for being awarded runner-up in the prestigious Barry Clout Awards by Medway Voluntary Action (MVA). This recognition highlights Jackie’s commitment, compassion, and the positivity she brings to everyone she supports.
Jackie embodies the true spirit of service. After 38 years in the NHS as a nurse and health visitor, she retired with the determination to continue giving back. Her goal has always been “to support people in times of difficulty and to help them achieve a good quality of life.” Through her work with Macmillan Crossroads Volunteer Service, Jackie has done just that—providing practical help and a caring presence to those navigating cancer diagnoses.
Since joining us in January 2023, Jackie has brought comfort and support to many across Medway. She offers valuable practical assistance and companionship, helping people with daily challenges and providing a sense of comfort and connection.
At Macmillan Crossroads Volunteer Service, we are incredibly proud of Jackie and all our volunteers across Kent. Each volunteer brings invaluable support, helping clients maintain dignity, resilience, and comfort.
Congratulations, Jackie, and thank you to all our volunteers for your dedication and compassion.
