Our counselling team is growing!

We are growing our counselling team and our capacity with new members to better serve carers across Kent and Medway.

Crossroads Care Kent counselling team

Crossroads Care Kent is expanding its counselling team to increase capacity and better support unpaid carers, providing complimentary counselling to people caring for those with cancer and other serious illnesses.

The programme accepts trainee counsellors in their final qualification stages who need 100 supervised practice hours. It began in 2016 with a single counsellor and has grown significantly — by July 2023 the team comprised 3 counsellors and 25 trainees, with plans to reach 40 trainees by April 2024, following a partnership with the Kent and Medway Cancer Alliance.

One client told us: "I have found our sessions so useful and she has helped me make sense of my emotions and thoughts."
